DeDuplication - More than on person

Postby DistillerUser24 » Tue Dec 13, 2016 12:58 pm

Is it possible for two people to de-dupe at the same time?

Yes, this is possible; however, it is recommended to have one person start at page 1 and the other start at the last page. This will help avoid them "stomping" one another.

I have several duplicates in my library but when I choose 'duplicate detection', 'no duplicates are found' appears despite using both author, title, author and title and including a range of refids. I'd like to make sure that none of my references currently in level 4 has a duplicate in level 2.
Thanks

Hi Sophie,

When you enter into the Duplicate detection function and click on "Run dupe check" button, if you get no results, then Distiller is not finding any duplicates. Like all duplicate checkers, there may be times when a duplicate is not found.

If you do find a duplicate, you have the ability to manually quarantine a reference via the Reference -- Edit reference menu option. Below each reference is a link "Quarantine" reference, which will allow you to quarantine the specific reference if you wish.

Cheers,
