Level and Form Partitioning

Postby DistillerUser24 » Tue Dec 20, 2016 9:37 am

I was testing the Partitioning function. It seems to work when I partition by form by not by level. Can I assign users to specific RefIds by using the level setting or do I need to do for each form?

The way level/form users settings work is that if you have any assignments for the form, it overrides it for the level.

For example: If you configure partitioning in the level setting for a user but have that same user assigned in the form settings, it will ignore the level setting user assignments and partitioning; meaning anything put in the level will be ignored because the form settings has user assignments, which takes precedence.

The form settings are for the case where you want some users doing one form and some different ones doing another. You don't need to configure these settings for each form if the users assignments are the same as the level settings.
